Exciting news, Year 6! Our new class book is Macbeth Retold by Andrew Matthews and Tony Ross.

Ready for Superhero Maths?
Use the Wonder Woman timer, and choose a superhero to test yourself over a set period of time. To truly be a hero, try to answer all questions in less than 5 minutes. Superheroes can do it in 4! However, even managing to get all the questions correct on your own in any time limit is a success. Good luck!

YEAR SIX
Curriculum
Spring Term English:
In English, we will be studying a retelling of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. From this, we will be writing persuasive letters, setting descriptions and taking part in lots of drama.
Spring Term Maths:
This term, will explore the topics of ratio, algebra, measures and statistics. It is really important that you continue to keep up your basic skills with times tables and other number facts using TTRS and Hit the Button.
Spring Term Science:
During the first half term, we will be building on our knowledge of the human circulatory system by naming the components in our blood and describing how our heart works. We will also investigate the impact of exercise on our heart and discuss healthy diets and lifestyle.
Spring Term History and Geography:
Our enquiry question that we will investigate is: Why does Nantwich look the way it does and what secrets does it still hold? This will guide our learning all about Tudor Nantwich.
